We had our official opening for the 2010 season on Thursday 4/29.  We had plant sales all weekend and started our season out with the dedication of the Blair Blage Memorial Gazebo.  Keep watch on the website as our gazebo "grows".

Docent Training

Docent Training Class

April and May 2010 Docent Training Classes Photos

Our docent classes are complete for 2010.  Consider volunteering for 2011 and contact us if you're interested. We will begin 2011 classes next spring.

Join our team of docents at the Panhandle Butterfly House in Navarre.  Docents are trained volunteers who act as ambassadors for our natural world.  They contribute by educating and helping visitors of the Butterfly House gain a better understanding of butterflies and of the natural habitat in which butterflies thrive.

As a docent, you greet the public, provide casual interpretations, and answer questions.  You will have an opportunity to make a valuable and enriching contribution to the community.

To prepare you to be successful, we ask you to attend a training course.  After completing the course, you will be prepared with the tools and knowledge to be successful.  Class size is limited to ensure that we can provide individual attention and training.

All classes will be held at the Navarre Visitors' Information Center and the Panhandle Butterfly House located at 8543 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida.

To register for a class or to request more information about becoming a docent, please email us.
