Book a tour for “Kiderpillar School”, our award winning educational program.
The tour visit consists of a basic lesson on butterfly conservation, the life cycle and habits of the butterfly followed by a journey through the vivarium, viewing live Florida butterflies, their nectar and host plants and the nursery featuring metamorphosis. Larger tours may have rotations on beneficial insects and the ecology of the Panhandle’s estuary. “Kiderpillar School” meets FCAT Sunshine Standards.
Dear Mary,
Thank you so much for the lesson and tour at the Butterfly House. From the six year old to the thirteen year old all learned much and enjoyed touring the House. How neat it was to see the different kinds of butterflies and to see them in different stages of development. Each child and adult told me an interesting fact on the way home. And we will be using the printed material during our early morning tutoring sessions. What a nice facility you have and what a nice demeanor you use while working with the children! Thank you again so much.
Sincerely,
Sue Sause
